The destructive impact of methamphetamine on individuals like Mary is profound, affecting both body and mind severely. The “faces of meth” featured in the YouTube documentary “Crystal Meth: The Wrong Road Pt. 3” powerfully illustrate the drastic physical changes and severe dental issues termed “meth mouth,” characterized by rapid tooth decay and loss (Rosaryfilms, 2008). This, combined with real-life stories we get from different individuals, helps to support the general belief on the difficulties of using meth. Methamphetamine has severe psychological effects; it affects the brain, causing a shift in mood and impaired thinking (Yasaei & Saadabadi, 2023). These effects change a person’s life completely, underlining the need for a higher level of awareness and effective treatment to combat this menace (Correia et al., 2023). This is most effectively done by sharing these above personal stories to complement educational programs because they depict the ramifications arising from the vice known as drug addiction.
