Budget Proposal
Mental health disproportionately affects individuals from minority racial and ethnic backgrounds in the United States. At the same time, there are significant mental healthcare access disparities as evidence from research shows that racial and ethnic minorities in the United States have limited access and utilization of mental health services as compared to their White counterparts (Ramos & Chavira, 2022). There are multiple interlapping and interconnected socioeconomic factors contributing to these disparities. However, research has further identified emerging factors to mental health access and utilizations such as stigma and misconceptions towards mental health among these racial/ethnic groups (Ahad et al., 2023). Below is a summary of the budget for the project aimed at exploring and addressing mental health stigmatization to improve mental health-seeking behaviors and mental healthcare utilization among individuals from racial/ethnic minority groups.

The total costs of the project are maintained at the minimum by integrating the entire project implementation into the normal practice. The overall staffing costs are reduced due to an agreement between the staff involved to provided extra support beyond their full-time practice. Since limited funding is a major challenge in the development of DNP projects both in the academic and clinical settings, effective collaboration between students, the faculty, and other stakeholders within the healthcare systems is noted to be a key solution to helping overcome such challenges and achieve significant DNP project outcomes (Wright et al., 2022). Other expenses are once-off such as startup costs and capital costs since those expenses are incurred once. The other recurrent costs such as salaries and benefits have been maintained at the possible minimum through a collaborative approach at the current practice site. Although there is no expected revenue to be generated by this project, there is a potential for a research project grant totaling to $48,500 which helps further reduce the overall costs of the project. Regardless, the total costs surpass revenue and pose a financial risk to the project.

Budget Proposal
In DNP 896 Course 1, using the template (Appendix D) from the Moran et al. text, you were asked to do a preliminary budget and narrative in your Timeline and Outline Project Plan assignment. For this Final Budget Plan assignment in DNP 896 Course 3, revise your budget to reflect any updates or changes your project has now that you are implementing your project. You may add/modify your budget proposal and narrative assignment from Course 1 for this assignment if appropriate.
Budget Proposal
If starting over, use the template (Appendix D) (Attached) from the Moran et al. text to complete and submit a final budget plan for the project. Be sure to include funding for a statistician, poster presentation, paper or oral presentation at a conference as well as the other items on the template.
