Behavioral Health Intake Specialist (Full Time Day)
RWJBarnabas Health offers this position at Oceanport, New Jersey. The minimum requirements for the position include a Bachelor’s degree in psychology or an alternative that is related to the human services area of study, at least two years of experience in crisis intervention, strong telephone or interpersonal communication as well as organizational skills, and proficiency and knowledge in computer especially Microsoft word, data input, and/or mainframe (Indeed, 2022).
The roles and responsibilities of the Behavioral Health Intake Specialist are to facilitate the admission process, give referrals and information, and make appointments to treat psychiatric problems (Indeed, 2022). They are also responsible for the connection and intake of the employees of RWJBarnabas Behavioral Health Network EAP Provider Network/Affiliates and their dependents and external EAP accounts. The candidate will also be responsible for record-keeping, data entry, and associated data inquiry.

Behavioral Health Aide- Emergency Department (Per Diem)
This position is offered at the University Hospital, Newark, New Jersey. Its minimum requirements include a high school diploma or related certification program, graduation from an accredited nursing assistant course, or a one-year experience as a nursing assistant or behavioral health aide (Indeed, 2022). The candidate must also have a recent CPR certification with the maintenance of American Heart Association valid certification (Indeed, 2022). Candidates with experience in de-escalation and crisis intervention or behavioral health are preferred for this job. The candidate must take blood pressure, respiration, pulse, temperatures, and other basic procedures as indicated. The candidate is also expected to be under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse. Under the Registered Nurse’s direction, the candidate is expected to give direct care to patients from the age of 18 to maturity, transport them to procedures and tests, perform simple procedures of nursing, and take part in the general cleanliness and orderliness of the unit (Indeed, 2022).
