However, it is essential to acknowledge that there are still existing obstacles that continue to endure. One conspicuous quandary lies in the comparatively elevated expenditure of malpractice insurance for nurse practitioners compared to their physician counterparts. The observed cost discrepancy can be ascribed to the comparative novelty of the NP profession, which consequently restricts the availability of comprehensive historical data necessary for a precise evaluation of malpractice risk (Ca.gov, n.d.; California Board of Registered Nursing, 2019). Furthermore, it is worth noting that there has been a discernible presence of opposition from certain factions within the medical community, which can be attributed to apprehensions surrounding the possibility of employment displacement. Nevertheless, scholarly investigations challenge these apprehensions and underscore the notion that FPA for NPs can enhance physician employment opportunities.

To actively participate in the governance and advocacy efforts of APRNs in California, I have become a committed member of the esteemed California APRN Association (CAPPA). This prominent organization is wholly devoted to the progression of APRN practice and the facilitation of healthcare accessibility within the state (Buppert, 2020). Through my decision to become a member of CAPPA, my primary objective is to remain abreast of the most recent advancements within the field. Additionally, I aspire to collaborate with individuals who share similar professional inclinations. Moreover, I am eager to actively partake in endeavours to enhance public consciousness regarding the indispensable contributions made by APRNs in healthcare provision. Moreover, I intend to allocate my time towards scholarly pursuits, elucidating the populace on the advantageous attributes and proficiencies of APRNs, thereby cultivating a more profound comprehension and admiration for their indispensable contributions to the healthcare milieu.
