Instead of proactively tackling new concerns, I hesitated to openly communicate with the team about the problems we were experiencing. In retrospect, I should have communicated my concerns sooner, promoted open debate, and worked jointly to find answers. Further, I should have encouraged open communication to guarantee that setbacks are perceived as opportunities for collaborative problem-solving, allowing the team to adjust rapidly and produce more successful project outputs (Swart et al., 2022). This experience has taught me the critical value of encouraging open communication and openness in collaborative endeavors.
