This article aimed to evaluate the cost-effectiveness and clinical effectiveness of patient repositioning in preventing pressure injuries. It was a Cochrane search of randomized clinical trials. Eight RCTs and two economic analyses involving 3941 participants were analyzed. These studies compared repositioning frequencies and tilt positions. The study revealed that the evidence to support the use of one reposition frequency and position is limited. This article aimed to compare the effectiveness of active and reactive mattresses in preventing and treating pressure ulcers. A literature search was done in Medline Plus, Scopus, PubMed, Cochrane Library, and CINAHL databases. Twenty-four randomized controlled trials and nine systematic literature reviews were included in this study. The consensus from this review was that pressure mattresses are an effective strategy to prevent and treat pressure ulcers. These mattresses are more effective than standard-form mattresses. However, comparing active and reactive mattresses was inconclusive in determining which mattress was more effective. Assessment of the risk of pressure ulcers is critical in identifying individuals at risk of developing bedsores. Many international guidelines recommend using a risk assessment tool to prevent pressure ulcers. There are many risk assessment tools. This review aimed to determine the effectiveness of risk assessment tools in reducing pressure ulcers. It involved reviewing different risk assessment tools.  The study concluded that there are no significant differences in preventing pressure ulcers when risk assessment tools are used compared to clinical judgments. This article is scholarly since it has the authors’ names and affiliations. Also, this article has been published in the Cochrane Library. The data has been presented in table form, and the language is professional. This article is long enough, more than five pages, including references to the sources cited. This article is relevant to my research on preventing bedsores in acute care settings. The review has reviewed that risk assessment is essential in preventing pressure ulcers. Nurses must, however, not rely on structured risk assessment tools but should combine them with clinical judgment.
