“He sure did” Mom replied. “Your cousin Kelly is going to be surprised to see the little calf when she gets here this afternoon for her visit. How fortunate for her to be able to see the newborn.”

“Kelly here is the baby calf that was born last night,” April said as she directed Kelly to the stall.

“She is so cute,” said Kelly as she climbed up on the top of the stall to get a better look. “I wish I had been here to see her born. I’ve never had the opportunity and wish I could see what happens as a new life is born.”
