Feedback Journal: Graduate Writing II
Name: XXXX
Week 4: Writing Feedback Log
What kind of feedback would you like to receive from your instructor? On what aspect of writing would you most like to receive feedback?”
I would like feedback on improving clarity, coherence, and transitions in my writing. Additionally, guidance on strengthening thesis statements and integrating scholarly sources would be helpful.

MEAL Paragraph (Analysis Section) | Good contextualization of evidence; specific to purpose. | Ensure analysis focuses on evidence, not personal experience. | APA 7 Manual, p. 47 for headings; Writing Center resources on conclusions

Writing Workshop (General Writing Feedback) | Good writing with minor areas to check. | Address minor writing issues noted in feedback. | Walden Writing Center (Grammar and Revision Tips) (https://academicguides.waldenu.edu/writingcenter/paragraphs/organization ) | Regular grammar review and self-editing drafts before submission reduce minor errors and maintain a scholarly tone in all writing. |
Optional: Questions to Ask the Instructor or Writing Center
- How can I improve the coherence between my main idea and supporting evidence in MEAL paragraphs?
- What strategies can I use to make my budget proposals more persuasive and clearly structured?
- Are there additional resources for refining grammar and minimizing minor writing errors in final drafts?
- How do I ensure that feedback from previous assignments is effectively applied to future writing tasks?
Reflection and Future Goals
Reflecting on the feedback received, I have improved in articulating clear main ideas and integrating research effectively. However, I need to enhance coherence, organization, and the use of quantitative data to support arguments. Moving forward, I aim to apply feedback consistently by refining transitions, strengthening the MEAL paragraph structure, and incorporating scholarly resources more effectively.
Utilizing tools such as the Walden University Writing Center and peer-reviewed literature will support this growth. My goal is to produce well-structured, cohesive writing that demonstrates critical thinking and professional communication.
