Healthcare Managers Data Presentation
Data presentation methods allow the healthcare managers to deliver the information to the audience in a more clear way. Before presenting any data to the audience, there are several factors that the nurse managers should consider. First, the manager should define their target audience, i.e. know the age group and education qualification of the audience. Through a better understanding of the audience, the manager can then determine the appropriate data presentation method for the target audience. For instance, children might not be able to see data presented in graphs but as pictures. Secondly, the manager should know what information or data they want to pass to the audience, as this will also determine which data presentation technique will be used (Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, 2021). For instance, if the manager wants to pass quantitative data, then the data can be presented better in the form of graphs and pie charts, and if it is data about a process, then the use of a flow chart will be appropriate. With a determined target audience and the topic of the presentation, the manager can then come up with a suitable data presentation technique.

Data presentation can be done in several ways depending on the function or type of the data to be presented. For instance, suppose the manager wants to give an analysis of a particular trend; the techniques that work best include column charts, area charts, and line charts (In et al., 2017). If the aim is to do a demonstration of the data composition, the most effective techniques include waterfall charts, pie charts, stacked charts, pie charts, and map-based graphics for geographical information. For comparative purposes, the techniques that can be put into consideration include bar charts, scatter plots, bar graphs, spider charts, bubble charts, and column charts. On the other hand, if the data is meant to describe something or an overview of a topic, the manager can consider using infographics. In nursing training and practice, the use of infographics is becoming more common because it is a simpler way of conveying information (Newbern, 2021). Data visualization saves much time because it gives a summary of everything without having to explain it.
