Remix Project Proposal-The Importance of Living Shorelines
I want to remix the Natural Science essay, The Importance of Living Shorelines, to a new audience using the Word It Out website. The intended audience is secondary school students (age group 12-18) with no particular gender preference and an average educational level. My remix will explain the importance of living shorelines and how they can help protect coastal properties from rising sea levels and provide a natural habitat for plants and animals. To achieve this, I plan to use technology from the Word It Out website, including word clouds and other visuals such as infographics and interactive maps. My remix will also include research conducted on living shorelines so that my audience can learn more accurate information about their importance.
Additionally, I will create a quiz at the end of my remix to encourage engagement and help assess the effectiveness of my work. The quiz will cover key points from the essay and allow the audience to learn more about living shorelines in a fun and interactive way. In conclusion, I believe that the use of technology from the Word It Out website will create an engaging experience.
