Johann Sebastian Bach and Pablo Ruiz Picasso

Johann Sebastian Bach and Pablo Ruiz Picasso

Through the centuries, some people have stood out over the masses for various reasons. One such significant figure is Johann Sebastian Bach of the Baroque era. J.S. Bach became outstanding for his musical talent as a great composer and came from a musical family. According to Wright, to become a great composer, he taught himself by arranging compositions and learning to play organs (87). All these traits contributed to his reference as a classical music giant who was an organist and a composer (Forney et al. 108). His compositions and teachings have been utilized in different musical genres, such as pop.

Significant and influential figures are present in music, art, and literature. Pablo Ruiz Picasso is a critical figure in art. Picasso is a well-known name that many have heard of at a given point. Picasso was a painter and sculptor, prominent in Parisian art and cubism. His influence was felt in the 20th century, whereby his viewers were challenged to comprehend what his paintings were putting across (Stokstad and Cothren 511). The art’s purpose was met through the chaotic brushstrokes, texture, colors, and lines, illustrating his creation of cubism.

J.S. Bach and Pablo Ruiz Picasso are similar and different in several ways. The first difference is their participation in different eras; while Bach was from the Baroque era, Picasso was from the 20th century.
