The topic of interest in the research analysis is promoting health literacy; what potential does nursing informatics offer to support older adults in using technology? I found a scoping review on the same, and in this paper, the analysis will be a research review. The article has gone in-depth in showing how it got its data, and professionals in nursing practices can use that information to offer better services to older adults. Technology being developed can also use this research article’s data to meet the older adults’ specific needs, as identified in the research paper. The paper has numerous applications for professional nursing practices. It can be instrumental in providing top-notch health care to older adults in the areas that the article has covered and reviewed research from, making it reliable.

The strengths of the research done in the paper are countless. The first strength is that the picking of articles is not just randomization and thus gives adequate and relevant information to the people who access it. Another power is the paper is very detailed and uses tables to support its finding. It also works within a frame of time so that data is not generalized but very specific.

The many subheadings that the author of the research has used in its preparation make it easy to understand the information and make the paper very presentable. Some of the article’s limitations are its length, which makes it feel clumsy, more so when it comes to the findings and results (Haupeltshofer, Egerer & Seeling, 2020). The results should be stated, but the author has divided it into so many subheadings that one finds it hard to get to the core of the matter.

When it comes to whether the research is relevant to the topic of interest, I will say its relevancy is average. The subject is how nursing informatics offers the potential to promote health literacy, and to some point, the author has talked about that but, on the other hand, has gone way off-topic. In this paper the approach used in this paper was the identification and analysis of peer-reviewed research by assessing the quality of the articles that had been submitted in a scholarly journal for publication. The peer-reviewed research paper has been published in a literary journal. A university academic department also sponsors it and thus has a professional association in its publication.

The paper gives more than enough information for future research to be based on. No one research can be genuinely conclusive on a particular topic, so it would be utterly unfair to try and strip the paper naked because it was not all fulfilled and satisfying. After all, that is close to impossible (Saheb & Saheb, 2019). The article is careful to even break down the process into steps and then even stages in the steps that have been divided, making it easy to access the information. When it comes to the results, sections it is made so much easy and understandable through the breakdown provided by the table that clearly shows all the data collected for easy analysis; after this, the author follows up with a discussion to help the reader understand what they just read in the table above, and a conclusion is made to put a stamp on the findings.
