Nutrition Class Introductions

Hello class. My name is Augusta Sherrod. I am excited about this class and looking forward to gaining more knowledge on Nutrition. One of the topics that I hope to learn in this class is planning nutritious diets and body basics. I have always been interested in being a nutritionist and helping people prevent and cope with diet-related diseases. I am excited to learn how to plan various diets and align nutrition needs with physical health. I hope that by the end of the class, I will be an expert in preparing meals with a balance of the most important nutrients. I will also use the knowledge acquired in the class to create healthy meals at home and create recipes to share with my friends and people seeking information about healthy diets.

I will combine the knowledge from the course with what I have learned from my favorite healthy food blogger, Jacqueline Alwill. I picked this blogger because she gives detailed guidelines on eating and living healthily. For example, she shares information on factors to consider when choosing a nutritious lunch, fruits that help with digestion, and the benefits of various foods (Alwill, n.d.). I also find her blog interesting because she shares information about her experiences when she travels to different locations and what people should consider when selecting meals in various destinations. I also love Jacqueline’s recipes and how she presents her food after cooking. I enjoy trying out the recipes because I love whole grains, which are among the main ingredients in most of the recipes. I have attached a link to her blog below. I hope you will find some interesting information there.
