Uyghur Genocide
This article reflects the Human Rights Report on the Chinese’s human rights violations, whereby the government is responsible for multiple killings and disappearances of individuals and genocide in the country. However, these allegations were denied by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying, who argued that according to international relations, speculations of genocide claims should not be used as hidden agendas for political interference. According to the International Court of Justice, only states within a country are entitled to investigate genocide claims, not other countries. States within a country are entitled to analyze the risk factors of genocide and are authorized to conduct an analysis of genocide claims and provide feedback on the same. Therefore, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying’s statement was supported by the example set by the International Court of Justice.
