Accordingly, once symptoms are eliminated, the body restores health by boosting immunity. The placebo effect is a mental occurrence that influences an individual’s health through the use of remedies similar to the treatment applied (Colagiuri et al., 2015). Consequently, once these remedies are taken, the mind influences the body to commence healing. Therefore, the similarity between homeopathy and the placebo effect is evident based on these descriptions, indicating that homeopathy utilizes the placebo effect.
The essential utilization of the placebo effect in homeopathy is the mode of healing. Homeopathy illustrates that the body restores health by initiating self-healing processes in the body (Eliopoulos, 2018). Consistently, this self-healing begins with reducing symptoms, prompting the body to boost immunity, resulting in healing. The reduction of symptoms is achieved through the use of remedies similar to the treatment plan.
The use of remedies similar to the treatment plan restores healing through the application of the placebo effect. Even though these remedies are not part of the actual treatment plan, the mind manipulates the body to restore health, resulting in the individual’s healing. Thus, the placebo effect is utilized to initiate recovery by using the reason to control the body to assume alternative remedies provided during homeopathy are part of the actual treatment plan, resulting in the restoration of health.
