The Daily Instructional Technology Tools to Use as an Online Teacher

Online teachers use various tools daily to help them with their instruction. The tools depend on the type of class they are teaching and the student’s level (Budur 180-182). Accordingly, the tools I will use daily as an online teacher include Zoom, Skype, Google Classroom, dialpad, and Ligthsail. Zoom will be used for my video conferencing and webinars. It has features that will allow me to collaborate with other teachers and students in my class. These features include sharing the screen, recording the session, and adding participants to the meeting. I can monitor the chat during the meeting and see who is online (Budur 180-182). Google Classroom is another tool I will use. The app facilitates creating and managing assignments, posting announcements, and giving feedback to students. Also, one can create group projects and have a calendar to keep track of deadlines.

Moreover, I will use Skype for video calls and instant messages. Skype also allows sharing the screen with other Skype users (Gunter and Gunter 288-290). Students can use Skype to call or instant message their teachers if they have questions. The app is also available on mobile devices, so it can be used when one is not using a computer. Further, the dialpad enables making phone calls (Shahid et al. 86); one can make and receive calls from their computer. Dialpad users can also add participants to the call and record calls. Therefore, Dialpad will be valuable for connecting with students or parents. In addition, I will use Lightsail to create and manage my virtual private server. Lightsail allows the creation and management of servers, adding users, and installing applications. Presentations, video conferencing, and webinars can be done with this tool.

Moreover, I will use Google Slides to create PowerPoint presentations. The app enables users to create and edit presentations (Gunter and Gunter 288-290). Besides, the presentation can be shared with other users, allowing them to edit the presentation (adding audio, video, and images). Finally, I will use WeVideo to create videos. WeVideo allows users to create and edit videos. They can also add audio, video, and images and share the video with other users. Do you need help with your assignment ?
