This information is essential in developing a career as a teacher because it informs teachers on the process they should follow to get state certification and teaching license and the requirements they should meet for eligibility. The information on the assessments used by colleges and universities to examine a teacher’s knowledge and skills was important because I can use it in preparation for the assessments before applying for certification to increase my chances of consideration. I also found information on e-portfolio preparation essential, given that technology is currently being embraced in the learning environment. I can use the information to create an e-portfolio that makes the audience interested in meeting me and learning more about me, thus increasing the chances of being hired. I can also use an e-portfolio to record my career progress for easy reference. I can update the e-portfolio based on new experiences and career advancements to create an appealing profile for future employers.
