Instagram Philosophy & Support for Business

Like many other companies, Instagram Company has philosophies or values that guide it in its operations. Instagram has three values: community first, inspiring creativity, and simplicity. In its community-first value, Instagram aspires to provide services that would serve the community satisfactorily. In other words, this company is determined to provide services to the community or the customers more than anything else (Kuligowski, 2020). Inspiring creativity as the second value, this company is focused on nurturing talents that would lead to creativity that will offer the community unique services. Simplicity as its third philosophy means that the products or services that the company will be offering to the customers will be simple in that they will have the ease of uploading, editing, and the ease of sharing images (Kuligowski, 2020). Instagram supports businesses through its new sticker, “Support Small Businesses.” Through this sticker, people show their love for business in their stories. People can mention the businesses directly in the sticker to direct their followers to the account.

Facebook Philosophy & Support for Business

Facebook Company has its philosophy, which states “to make the world more open, connected and transparent” According to this philosophy when the world is transparent, it becomes a better place for people to be good to each other. Facebook Company believes that being transparent when communicating efficiently will save the world. Facebook’s philosophy supports business in different ways (Max Freedman, 2020). First, individuals need to be open to sharing their opinions, details, pictures, and stories with others. Companies need to be open with information about their products and services to share with potential clients to reach prospective customers. In other words, Facebook is ready to help individuals or firms that are transparent with their information to advertise their products to the public (Max Freedman, 2020). Facebook tends to have shared, like, and comment buttons. The firms can share what they have in pictures or in-text, and the customers are expected to like to show that they like the products or even commend to give their feedback about the products. Thus, the sharing, liking, and commenting features on Facebook support businesses greatly.

Twitter Philosophy & Support for Business

Twitter’s philosophy or values are internet safety and education, free expression, equality, sustainability, and crisis and emergence response. Twitter supports organizations that tackle online safety and cyberbullying, hate speech, and abuses (Unique Michael, 2020). The company educates the public on the dangers of cyberbullying and encourages people not to engage in such abuses. Twitter supports free expression by ensuring initiatives that defend and respect all voices. In other words, Twitter aims to promote tolerance. Equality and the universal acceptance of all people are other important aspects of Twitter’s values. On sustainability, Twitter works closely with NGOs globally to create awareness and encourage initiatives geared towards protecting the environment (Business Queensland, 2016). Thus, in supporting business, Twitter provides information to business firms on the issues of sustainability, diversity, tolerance, and free expression. These are some elements of organizational cultures that need to be cultivated in firms to promote their image.
