Religion is relevant to identity, values, and worldview. It provides many of us with a sense of direction, purpose, and belonging. In this paper, I discuss my Christian background, my parents’ religious traditions’ impact on me, and what my beliefs continue to do for me today: Religious Landscape.

I am a Christian, and part of my life has always been derived from faith since childhood. Brought up in the church, I was a regular attendee of church services, attended the Bible study, prayed, and all that helped define what I believed in and valued.

Christianity has instructed me to live compassionately, forgivingly, and humbly and to strive for a solid personal relationship with God. I believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ, and I apply them in my daily life. My spiritual practices direct me, support me through difficult times, give meaning to my life, and guide me in what to do.

I have both of my parents as Christians, though they are of different Christian denominations. My mother grew up in a more conservative Christian environment, leaning toward personal faith and scripture, whereas my father was raised in a more charismatic Christian environment.

Despite the difference in worship style, both religions stressed the major Christian values of love, prayer, and service to others. Their faithfulness to their faith has been a strong force in my spiritual life. They taught me how essential a real personal relationship with God is while living Christian principles in the hearts of those around them.

In conclusion, my Christian background and my parents’ various yet united faith practices have become a fundamental part of my spiritual life. These values of love, humility, and service have also been instilled in me from an early age and condition my decision-making habits and actions. Christianity is still an important part of my life; it gives me strength and guides my understanding as I face the challenges of life.
