My Career Goal
My career goal is to attain the skills and knowledge that can help me secure a position at the management level. I admire managerial positions because they reveal everyone’s leadership abilities. As a manager, one is expected to choose a specific leadership or management style. Subsequently, the decision that each manager makes displays their understanding of colleagues or subordinate staff. In addition, it also shows their alignment with the company’s vision and mission.
Relevance of the Course Topics and Skills in My Future Career
The topics 1.4, 1.5, and 1.6 will be particularly helpful in enabling me to achieve my career goals. These topics highlight ethical issues in international business, the roles and functions of a global manager, and tips on developing a career in global management, respectively. For that reason, attaining knowledge about the international aspects that affect management is essential for my job because I will be managing people from different nationalities or organizations with branches in other nations. Furthermore, I need to attain communication, leadership, organizational behaviors, and fiscal management skills. Accordingly, these will facilitate efficiency in the managerial position.
Worth of Credentials from This Module’s Resources in Pursuing My Career Goal
I believe the credentials in this module’s resources are worth pursuing my career goal. To secure a managerial position, it is necessary to establish a culture of lifelong learning. Essentially, this culture ensures that I consistently increase my skills and knowledge. In addition, it also provides that I am best suited to lead others toward goal achievement as I remain updated on upcoming trends and research findings (Sabri, Ilyas, & Amjad, 2015).
