Qualities In a Judge Or Arbitrator

Judges should be able to evaluate the different aspects of the legal system objectively, and they must keep an open mind, which is essential when assessing the relevant data (Thompson, 2022). The ability of a judge to follow the letter of the law instead of the wishes of the majority of the opposing party is based on their level of firmness. When presenting the evidence, the judge should exercise patience while the parties express their perspectives regarding the case.

A high level of alertness is required during mediation to pinpoint the reason for the issue between the parties involved. The mediator is responsible for retaining objectivity and self-control to ensure the occurrence of biases. The mediator must work on self-control to ensure they do not include emotions and follow the facts. To elicit cooperation from the parties involved, the mediator should demonstrate patience and sensitivity and ensure both parties reveal their desire.

The arbitration sought by a judge and mediator are similar; for example, they share the same personality quirks and tendencies. The most crucial purpose of a judge or arbitrator is to ensure the issue is resolved fairly and honestly. For both parties, impartiality and objectivity are essential. When determining the problems, everyone should be provided additional information, and both parties require the same attributes to have identical results.
