Personal Teaching Theory of Classroom Management

Personal Teaching Theory of Classroom Management

Reflection

The chapter illustrates important concepts that are beneficial for teachers. In my opinion, I have learned the essence of mutual respect between the learner and the teacher. Respect enables both parties to develop healthy relationships that inspire proper communication and discipline among learners. Additionally, I have learned about adopting a democratic approach in the classroom. The essence of democracy is to instill confidence among students to ensure open participation and develop inner discipline among the learners (Charles &Cole, 2019). Notably, the teacher should not presume perfection and should be open to the opinions of their students.

Reliable classroom management also inculcates important lessons among the students. The learners understand the importance of respect, inner discipline, communication, cooperation, positivity, and taking charge. These virtues positively impact students’ lives and inspire a sense of responsibility. The ideal way to implement the useful concepts in my future classroom is to create communication channels where students can easily access me and openly share their concerns. Further, I will allow the students to share recommendations that they feel can improve the effectiveness of my teaching strategies.
