Nonverbal Communication Reflection

Nonverbal Communication Reflection

The easiest emotion to interpret was excitement. You can see the job on their face and hand motions when someone is excited. Looking at the man at the laptop with his hand in the air doing a pumping action shows excitement. The man’s facial expression of raised eyebrows and open mouth also displays excitement. Excitement is an easily identifiable nonverbal communication.

I know that I wear my emotions on my sleeve, meaning I truly show how I feel about a situation with nonverbal communication. When something exciting happens, or I am upset, it is completely visible without verbally speaking. Having nonverbal communication in a business relationship can have positive outcomes while communicating. One positive aspect of nonverbal communication is conveyed consistency and trustworthiness. Proper posture and eye contact can reinforce what is trying to be conveyed in the conversation.
