Messaging Life through Music
Music is a universal language that is not limited to a specific culture; therefore, it can be considered a meaningful process of communication with alien life (Kashyap, 2021). The sound waves, rhythm, and mathematical patterns concepts are the foundation of a musical experience that can be decoded and interpreted by any intelligent civilization (Fraknoi et al., 2022). This is what NASA meant by the Voyager Golden Record in 1977, which carried a collection of music, greetings, and natural Earth sounds to represent the people and the Earth: Messaging Life through Music.
To convey the message, I would create a musical track that combines instruments and melodies from all cultures of the world. The medium would be high-bit-rate digital sound, with metadata encoded, at least and perhaps, with a visual display of the sound waves. This form admits emotional assessment and scientific interpretation and maximizes the possibility that an alien will crack and read the ancient writings.
The information would be sent across as peaceful, balanced, and inquisitive. It would also be created in a careful pattern, balance and hues of emotion. Although aliens cannot comprehend our languages, they can be aware of the purpose in the patterns of our music. It is vital to communicate peace (Chua & Rehding, 2021).
A rude or inconsiderate message would be misinterpreted, whereas an artistic and thoughtful message would indicate the intention to get to know each other and understand each other (Fraknoi et al., 2022). This message would not only express the creativity of humans but also our desire to extend our hands and be able to learn with others.
Question
What should we make of aliens who answer us in music of which we cannot find any known rhythm, any known scale, or any known tone, but only some strange forms of sound? Would this be music, or would it tell us something completely new about their concept of thinking?

Question
Module 2 Is there Life out there?
NO AI USE AT ALL:
Messaging alien life is a difficult topic since there is a question of do we need to be known in the universe. What if the aliens wished to attack earth? Response to the message could depend on the message sent.
This discussion item is in preparation for your Messaging Life Presentation.

Messaging Life through Music
