One factor that makes policing or law enforcement difficult in dealing with transnational crime is the involvement of several nations. For example, consider a criminal who traffics drugs from Mexico to the United States. Such a crime involves the police of both governments and presents the challenge of which police unit should be responsible for the individual. It is a conviction that the criminal should be arrested and convicted in the country where he is caught for quicker convictions and to save costs such as deportation costs (U.S Department of Justice, 2008). As the police chief, I agree that traffic stops should be accompanied by legal permissions to avoid unnecessary stopping of vehicles which is a waste of time and a violation of a person’s privacy. Therefore, the police department should install body cameras on traffic police to monitor their road activities. Any suspicious behavior noted should then be investigated for proper action.
