Interdisciplinary Plan Proposal

The present proposal is about an interdisciplinary plan designed to deal with emergency department (ED) overcrowding and patient flow problems encountered at Upper Rose Medical Centre. This issue has a considerable impact on the quality of patient care, employee satisfaction, and overall work efficiency. Notably, literature asserts that achieving these through creating trust, transparency, and an effective communication culture is key for interdisciplinary collaboration (Bendowska & Baum, 2023).

Required Organizational Resources

The basis of human resources is to display new hires from nurses, physicians, and support staff to manage the high visitor count and establish new policies. The incorporation of supplies and facilities like medical carts, monitoring systems, and patient tracking will facilitate workflow and increase the productivity of care services (Maninchedda et al., 2023). The protonation of training sessions and educational resources will be one of the multiple necessities to maintain a good performance of the staff and ensure their compliance with new protocols. The overall budget of over $500,000 is expected to be needed for building staff salaries, equipment purchases, and training expenses within the proposed plan framework. The persistence of this problem bears a risk of lengthened patient waiting hours, reduced staff spirits, and a possibility of financial penalties on account of failing to comply with the regulatory standards (Maninchedda et al., 2023).

In summary, the proposed interdisciplinary plan targets eliminating ED overcrowding and improving the flow of patients at Upper Rose Medical Center. The plan involves implementing evidence-based seizures, engaging leadership strategies, and collaborative teamwork. By fitting in with organizational goals and creating partnerships throughout various departments, the plan will strive to achieve better patient outcomes and increase organizational efficiency within the emergency department.
