Information Literacy Discussion – The Arizona Global Campus Library

The Arizona Global Campus Library is an effective e-library with various academic sources, including e-books, scholarly journals, articles, and academic videos. One of the best parts about using the Arizona Global Campus Library is the opportunity to interact with a live person when using the platform (The University of Arizona. n.d.). With such support available, a researcher can never be stuck while using the library’s resources. Besides helping one navigate library sources, the library has multimedia sources and tutorials that help students with the research process (The University of Arizona. n.d.). By presenting the guides in a visual format, users unfamiliar with the library’s functioning can find articles and other sources for their research work. Another positive experience associated with the library is the availability of multiple peer-reviewed sources. Notably, so far, I have not encountered concerns regarding conducting research through the Arizona Global Campus Library.

Librarians at the Arizona Global Campus Library dedicate significant time to creating tutorials that guide researchers through the research process. I find the tutorials and instructional videos quite interactive and easy to discern, to the extent of becoming my first point of reference whenever I have work that needs research. The multimedia tutorials not only help one when conducting research at the Arizona Global Campus Library but may also be used to conduct research in other libraries. Another positive experience about the library is that it helps researchers access links to common licensed sources instead of just one source. I also accessed tutorials that helped me gain insights on how to apply keyword search, including wildcards and truncation. Keywords are critical in identifying the right sources to use for research work (Tancheva, 2003). Without keywords, one may have a hard time finding even a single online source.

You even have access to a librarian if you need some guidance in finding more resources on your topic.
