Improving Organizational Culture

Improving Organizational Culture

Hello, and welcome to my presentation. This presentation will assess an organization’s culture to improve alignment between the culture, mission, vision, values, and strategies.

The organization employs employees from different backgrounds to create a diverse workforce. The organization also supports the implementation and development of successful inclusion and diversity strategies, programs, and policies. Its values focus on the patient and ensuring that the patient’s needs are met. It also operates guided by a humanitarian mission focusing on curing patients and connecting and transforming healthcare worldwide. The company also operates with no incentive payments to employees to separate patient procedures from personal gain. Patients are also included in making decisions about their healthcare hence promoting inclusive clinical practice. Li et al. (2015) define inclusive clinical practices as the process of understanding, identifying, and breaking down barriers to belonging and participation in healthcare. Inclusive clinical practices also focus on eliminating any form of discrimination in healthcare (Telem & Martin, 2020).

The organization intends to meet its vision of providing an unparalleled experience as the most trusted partner for healthcare by collaborating with patients to create transparency in healthcare and build trust between patients and healthcare providers. The organization will also reduce the cost of healthcare by collaborating with health insurance companies to create flexible payment plans and collaborating with community members to identify the healthcare needs in the community. This will help meet its mission of inspiring hope and contributing to health and well-being by providing the best care to every patient through integrated clinical practice, education, and research. The organization will also meet its purpose of providing the best care to patients through integrated clinical practice, education, and research by outlining the organization’s purpose in the employee handbook and aligning the tasks assigned to employees with the policies and procedures in the organization. The change management plan also includes rewarding employees who exhibit a high level of adherence to the organization’s values and setting a policy specifying the percentage of dividing diverse groups in the organization.

The organization focuses on promoting inclusion by selecting a representative of every diverse group in the organization to represent its members in decision-making. The change management plan will also include aligning the goal of creating a caring service environment while ensuring that individual differences are valued at every level of the organization with organizational policies and procedures to ensure that employees work toward meeting the goal. The organization will also set up a team, including employees and top management, to oversee the effective implementation of the strategies being followed to implement organizational change and create a communication plan to ensure that every employee understands how information flows from top management.

The proposed change intends to promote transparency in healthcare by encouraging collaboration between healthcare providers and patients and creating an improved quality of healthcare by facilitating the sharing of information between healthcare providers and patients (O’Shea, 2020). Another desired outcome is reducing the cost of healthcare by collaborating with healthinsurance companies to fund various healthcare services for the patients. The proposed change is also expected to enhance employee commitment by rewarding employees who exhibit a high level of adherence to the organization’s values and ensuring that employees understand what is expected of them. The proposed change is also expected to create a more diverse workplace, improve diverse groups’ representation in decision-making, and guarantee a proper flow of information within the organization.

The proposed change management plan is aligned with the organization’s mission and vision by creating trust and promoting transparency in healthcare, partnering with patients in healthcare delivery by maintaining open sharing of information, providing the best care to every patient, and creating integrated clinical practice by allowing them to contribute in offering feedback on the healthcare services they receive, creating affordable healthcare by partnering with insurance companies to fund healthcare services, contributing to the well-being of the community by collaborating with community members to understand community healthcare needs and collaborating with the community to educate people on healthcare issues and how to prevent them.

The proposed change management plan is aligned with the organization’s values by promoting respect between the patient and healthcare provider by allowing patients to get involved in healthcare decisions, clearly outlining policies and procedures to promote an environment where employees understand what is expected of them, promoting healing through inclusive clinical practice, promoting respect among diverse groups by creating a diverse workforce, creating boundaries on the conduct of healthcare providers to promote respect and promoting healing by educating community members on healthcare issues that may affect them and how they can get help.

The proposed change management plan is aligned to the organization’s strategies by creating a diverse workforce to encourage inclusion, promoting collaboration between healthcare providers and patients to create a caring service environment, creating collaboration between healthcare providers by encouraging an open flow of information throughout the organization, valuing the differences of healthcare providers and patients by treating everyone equally despite their race, age, gender, and other diverse characteristics, collaborating with community members to understand their healthcare needs and caring with awareness by educating community members on healthcare issues and proper practices to prevent the issues.
