Factors Barriers and Facilitators
Identifying potential barriers to success is crucial for proactive planning. Two potential barriers include time constraints due to a busy clinical schedule and potential gaps in specific clinical skills. To overcome these barriers, time management strategies and seeking additional training or mentorship can be employed. Two facilitators for success include establishing a strong support network within the clinical setting and maintaining open communication with preceptors (Pollock et al., 2021). A supportive network fosters collaborative learning, while open communication ensures that challenges are addressed promptly.
Utilizing Evidence-Based Guidelines
In the clinical setting, the utilization of evidence-based guidelines is paramount for delivering safe and effective patient care. These guidelines serve as a foundation for clinical decision-making, ensuring that interventions are based on the latest research and best practices. They contribute to the provision of high-quality, patient-centered care and align with the ethical principles of beneficence and non-maleficence.

Secondly are peer-reviewed journals. Regularly reviewing peer-reviewed journals, particularly those specific to the chosen specialty, ensures access to the latest research findings and evidence-based practices. Lastly, there are clinical decision support tools. Utilizing electronic resources and clinical decision-support tools within the healthcare institution facilitates quick access to up-to-date guidelines, aiding in real-time decision-making (Cash, 2023).
