Evidence-Based Proposal and Annotated Bibliography on Technology in Nursing

Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare presents a compelling and innovative approach to improving patient care and outcomes. The choice of this specific technology is because it has the ability to completely transform the way that healthcare is provided. Artificial intelligence (AI) can swiftly and accurately evaluate large volumes of complicated data, supporting medical practitioners with diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient outcome prediction (Choudhury & Asan, 2020). What makes AI in healthcare particularly intriguing is its ability to learn and adapt continuously. It is a dynamic tool for addressing the ever-changing landscape of medical knowledge and patient needs.

In researching this topic, I employed a systematic approach to gather relevant information. I utilized prominent databases such as PubMed, MEDLINE, and IEEE Xplore to access conference papers, scholarly journals and peer-reviewed articles. The terms I employed to search included variations of “artificial intelligence,” “machine learning,” “healthcare,” “diagnosis,” “treatment,” and “patient outcomes.” I employed these terms to generate a broad search in an effort to acquire extensive information about the utilization and effects of AI in healthcare settings. Through this research approach, I was able to investigate different perspectives and collect data to support the creation of an evidence-based proposal about the integration of AI in nursing practice.
