  • We are allowing for honest feedback.
Employee engagement means the employee’s emotional commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and goals and the organization itself. It describes the enthusiasm and dedication an employee feels towards their job in the organization. Employee engagement will be one of the factors driving the company’s success, given its links to job satisfaction and employee morale. Engaged employees will be more likely to become productive and perform at the highest level. The following are the four strategies to create an engaged workforce in organizations.

I am creating an engagement culture within the organizations.

This will be in the form of communicating the engagement value in the mission and vision statement of the organizations, executive communications and ensuring that the business and department units will implement their engagement action plans, monitor their progress, adjust any strategies if deemed necessary, and recognize and celebrate the progress and results throughout the organization.

Recognize the top performers within the organization.

Employees will be more likely to engage when they feel like their work is being acknowledged and valuable. By this, it will help the organization achieve its business goals. Showing the employees that they are recognized and appreciated for their job well done regularly will be a simple gesture that makes them feel valued. Companies should reward top-performing employees for their achievements, whatever makes sense for your team and aligns with your core values. Moreover, employees should feel that they are being respected and appreciated by their team members so that they will become more engaged.

We are promoting transparency.

Companies should bring their employees into the fold as frequently as possible, a highly effective employee engagement strategy. If the team does not even know what is happening to the organization, the employees may more likely not fully invest, and their energies into the company would subside. They should not be left out as they will start to distrust the company’s management and lose confidence in their work. Companies should always be transparent to the employees, significantly if any changes may affect their work, working environment, and condition.

We are allowing for honest feedback.

This strategy will be a win-win situation for the company and its employees. First, the company should create a platform that enables the employees to share their thoughts and knowledge and ask questions to the right people. This will most likely be your Human Resources department of the organization. Still, the company’s executives should also be accessible and available to all employees, even if it is only for a few days out of the quarter and by appointment. Then, the company should use the employee’s feedback to improve and improve any areas in the company. Nothing will disengage the employees faster if they feel like they are wasting their time sharing matters that are truly important to them. Listening to the employees and team members should always be encouraged and acted upon by the companies.
