Educational Goals
My top three educational goals are to gain a deep understanding of accounting principles, develop my research and writing skills, and pass the CPA exam. Accounting principles are the foundation of this field, and I want to make sure that I have a strong understanding of them. An accountant needs the principles to analyze financial data and make sound decisions. Principles such as revenue recognition, inventory valuation, and cash flow are important to understand. They form the basis for more advanced tax accounting and auditing topics.
My second goal is to develop my research and writing skills. As an accountant, I will write reports and deliver presentations regularly. I want to make sure that I can communicate effectively in writing and verbally. The research includes gathering data, analyzing it, and coming to a conclusion. I want to do all of this independently so that I can be an asset to any team or company. Research leads to accurate decision-making and better outcomes for the organization.
My third goal is to pass the CPA exam. The CPA exam is a challenging test, and it covers a lot of material. I want to make sure that I am fully prepared for it before taking it.
