Ethics is a system of moral principles that dictates how people make decisions and lead their lives. It concerns what is good for individuals and society, generally described as moral philosophy. Ethics is an essential aspect of World Vision International because it necessitates increasing the loyalty of citizens as far as accomplishing its mission is concerned (De Bakker et al., 2019). The organization collaborates closely with the poor and oppressed within the society to promote human transformation, bear witness to the good news of God’s kingdom, and seek justice. Based on the research conducted by World Vision International, the most ethical issues affecting its operations include neglect and exploitation, physical and sexual as well as emotional abuse (De Bakker et al., 2019).
Information Management, Governance, and Compliance
The relationship between information management, governance, and compliance is that these three terms work in unison concerning how information is acquired and dispensed. Information management refers to the collection, storage, and management of various types of information (Mullon & Ngoepe, 2019). Conversely, governance is the rules that govern how the information will be acquired, the technology equipment to be used, the policies, and the strategies that will be utilized (Mullon & Ngoepe, 2019). Lastly, information compliance refers to how the organization abides by the policies that govern digital security.
Major Company Policies and Their Importance
The primary policy of World Vision International is protecting children and vulnerable communities. This company policy is essential because it advocates for zero tolerance of incidents of violence or abuse against children and individuals in marginalized communities. Furthermore, it prevents the misuse of power, status, or trusted position for sexual or exploitative reasons. The company focuses on curbing all forms of abuse by implementing prevention and training programs in community settings. The training offered to frontline workers enables them to identify and respond to cases of sexual exploitation among children and vulnerable groups.

World Vision International believes that in order to ensure that sensitive information is kept secure and private, security and legal stakeholders must be in alignment. Lastly, the organization can also ensure that the network is protected by using a secure password for the Wi-Fi and ensure that employees avoid browsing on an open network (Li & Liao, 2022).
Effects Associated with Employee Monitoring
Monitoring employees in the organization has its share of advantages and disadvantages. The positive effects of employee monitoring are that it increases production, improves team performance, and increases internal security and protection from harassment. On the other hand, employee monitoring yields adverse outcomes such as increased feelings of distrust, is time-consuming, and exposes the organization to legal risks.

World Vision International owns the intellectual property under World Vision Inc., abbreviated as “WVUS.” The intellectual property, in this case, comprises the company’s logo, designs, graphics, pictures, information, data, and other types of files. The intellectual property is protected by trademarks, copyrights, and any other property rights enshrined under the law.
Issues Related to Employee Communication
Some of the growing issues associated with employee communication include unclear objectives, demoralized employees, and employees’ personal issues. Communication is only effective if the employees know their responsibilities and expectations in their respective job roles (Ewing et al., 2019). Ineffective remuneration leaves employees demoralized and would be responsible for the organization’s failure to meet the outlined objectives (Ewing et al., 2019). Therefore, World Vision International should ensure that the objectives are communicated to the employees and that remuneration is up to the existing market rate. Providing employees with competitive pay would enable them to sort out their issues and offer quality services to the organization.
Safeguarding Information
The website operated by World Vision International utilizes the internet security protocol identified as the “Secure Sockets Layer” to safeguard its information from access by third-party individuals. This technology guarantees the highest level of security for using credit cards on the Internet.
Business Continuity
World Vision International ensures the continuity of its operations after exposure to a calamity through the utilization of the business continuity plan. The business continuity plan outlines the organization’s measures to recover from a pandemic. For instance, when the organization was exposed to the COVID-19 pandemic, it rapidly scaled up prevention measures by providing refugees and migrant camps with clean water, hygiene services, and equipment to regulate infection of this virus. The organization also strengthened the health systems and workers, supported children affected by the virus, and advocated for protecting the most vulnerable children.
