A disjunction is T when at least one value is T while it is F when both values are F. Therefore, (-r V q) = (F V F) = F. Consequently, the text is p & (F). Truth conditions for conjunctions are only T when both values are T, while they are F when at least one value is F. The text modifies to T & F since p is T, and the final truth is, therefore, F. Hi, I agree with your method of analysis of the author’s answer. Using the Pemdas to solve for the truth- value of the text was a brilliant idea that simplified the process of attaining the final value. You understood what the author put down and simplified it in a way that everyone can understand. The use of Pemdas while solving mathematical problems is significant, while the problem consists of negations. Without the use of Pemdas, the result would probably be different because of the negations present in the text. Your support is well documented and illustrated for easy understanding.

Hi, it appears your discussion is inconclusive. Although you’ve documented what you understood, it is unclear whether you agree with the author’s answer or not. It also seems as though your discussion is incomplete, as your examples are not perfectly stipulated and correctly used to solve the text p & (-r V q). Also, filling the table without completely understanding the methods applied to fill out the table will probably leave you with wrong answers, incomplete work, or both.
