Steve Jobs achieved successful presentations through various techniques. First, he acknowledged the critical points in the presentation, whereby only clear points were presented. He used visuals to stress particular points and avoided any information or data that would weaken the presentation. Second, Steve Jobs made an immediate personal connection in the presentations. As a result, he always started his presentations by creating an emotional connection between himself and the audience. Third, Steve Jobs acknowledged why people were listening to his presentation and served to achieve their expectations. Finally, Steve Jobs grasped the presentation well by mastering its contents and was comfortable without displaying the visuals.

Of the four techniques identified, I have seen the use of visual methods to present a point, mastering the presentation before moving forward to the presentation, and creating personal connections with the audience. I think the techniques were effective because of Steve Jobs’ practice and charismatic demeanor. Steve Jobs practiced several before taking the stage for a presentation and, thus, made effective presentations.

Three critical pieces of information that would help individuals know what to do when developing or making a presentation include comprehending the audience, including visuals, and creating the presentation in a logical structure (Hilliard, 2019). Understanding the audience means that individuals should assume the shoes of their listeners and ensure they serve them well. Regarding the inclusion of visuals, it is crucial to understand that visuals convey meaning faster because they are easy to understand. Lastly, presenting the work logically helps avoid confusion to the audience, which would otherwise make it challenging to deliver meaning.

Further, numerous pieces of information should not be used during a presentation. First, the presenter should not ignore the audience and their expectations. Second, the presenter should avoid reading directly from the presentation (Sejtkazy et al., 2019). The presenter should show the audience the mastery of the subject being presented. Finally, the presenter should not use an intonation that could negatively influence the listeners. For instance, the intonation should be flattened to avoid making the audience fall asleep.
