In the case study provided, Post Corps plans to send a payment notice to a dealer that has not fulfilled their last three payments. Post Corp will tell the dealer that if they do not pay as expected, they will be subjected to legal procedures. In the case scenario, the targeted audience is the dealer that has not paid Post Corp the past three times they received services from the organization (Wilson et al., 2017). The payment demand notice is directed to the dealer, which makes them the target audience for Post Corps.

What will their expected reactions be?

If the dealer receives the payment demand notice from Post Corps, they may react in several ways. If the dealer has had a long-term relationship with Post Corps in the past where they have always fulfilled their payments, they may feel angry. The dealer may terminate their relationship with Post Corps because they are annoyed (O’Hair et al., 2016). Additionally, it is possible that the dealer will be shocked that they have been given a demand notice to pay, or that Post Corps will take legal action against them. Lastly, the dealer may feel threatened by the notice from Post Corps that legal actions will be taken against them if they do not pay as expected. The dealer may not have funds to fulfil their payment currently, which makes them feel threatened of receiving a legal letter for the same.

What information do they need to know?

The dealer needs to know ways they can respond to Post Corps threats of using legal channels to access payments for the past three services offered. Additionally, the dealer needs to know the elements of a legal demand notice concerning payment (Keller et al., 2021). Lastly, the dealer should know which lawyers to contact for help in the event Post Corps actualizes their threats.

What is the best medium for delivering the message?

The best medium Post Corps can use to deliver its messages is through email. The mentioned medium of communication is excellent because it is documentable and can be referenced later on. Additionally, emails are easy to retrieve and allow for attachments to be sent alongside the primary message in the body (Braun et al., 2015). Lastly, emails are cheap and not intrusive, making them the best medium of communication for the case study provided.
